My name is Yohama Gonzalez, I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) graduated from the University of Windsor and with a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Toronto Metropolitan University formerly Ryerson University. I also studied Psychology in Colombia at the Pontifical Xavierian University.
I have more than ten years of experience working in social services and mental health with families and communities in Canada and abroad.
I focus on mood disorders and trauma. I also have experience working with parenting challenges and post-partum depression related issues.
I am certified in Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition I have training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Somatic Experiencing-level 3 for trauma work.
